Dr. Klaus-Peter Kossakowski is one among the elite team that is in demand to help organizations worldwide with computer security consulting and incident response. His credentials speak for themselves. Dr. Kossakowski has been involved in computer security since 1988, the year of the first viruses and the infamous Internet worm that disabled large parts of the Internet and marked the beginning of incident response as a new field within computer and network security.

His commitment and professionalism are demonstrated by his leadership as an elected member of the Steering Committee of the Forum of Incident Response and Security Teams (FIRST) - a nonprofit group of major incident response teams from around the world. Dr. Kossakowski also has a long-term working relationship with the CERT Coordination Center, the world-renowned computer security research and response group based at Carnegie Mellon University in the United States as well as other national and international incident response teams. He is also one of the co-authors of the CSIRT Handbook, the de-facto standard reference for creating and improving incident response teams and operations.
